Organisational Strategy
A document for setting your organisation's strategic direction over the next 1-3 years. It helps you bring your mission, programs, finances, priorities, responsibilities and measures of success into one clear plan your board and team can use.
When to use
When you are creating, reviewing or refreshing your organisation's purpose, priorities and direction.
Before you start
Gather your mission, vision and values, current plans, financials, annual reports, program data and stakeholder feedback. You may wish to talk with board members, staff or long-standing volunteers before drafting to help identify key programs and focus areas that matter most over the next 1-3 years.
What to do next
Use your finished organisational strategy document to guide board discussions, decisions, resource planning and the direction of your brand, marketing and fundraising work. Set a review date, then create your Strategy PoP (plan on a page) or a designed version if you need something easier to share.
