Everything you need to know about Humph, Humphrey and how the platform works.
If you can't find what you're looking for, we'd love to help!
Humph is practical fundraising, marketing and partnership support for small Australian charities.
It brings together useful tools, guided pathways, proven frameworks and Humphrey AI guidance, so you are not left staring at a blank page or trying to work everything out from scratch.
Think of it as a place to get clear on what to do next, find the right strategy template, and turn good insights and intentions into a practical next step you can use to xx.
Humph is designed for small charities, community organisations and volunteer-led teams doing important work with limited time, money and specialist support.
It is especially useful for founders, CEOs, fundraising coordinators, marketers, and people wearing several hats at once.
Larger organisations with dedicated fundraising, marketing and partnerships teams may already have many of these capabilities in-house. Humph is here for charities that need practical support but cannot always access senior expertise or a strategic thinking partner when they need it.
Sometimes you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for. Other times, you’ll simply know you need help but won’t be sure where to begin.
Humph’s Guided Pathways and Humphrey AI help you find the right starting point, so you’re never left figuring it out alone.
Your membership gives you access to Humph's practical tools, templates, frameworks, Guided Pathways and Humphrey AI.
Together, they are designed to help you plan, write, think, prioritise and take action across fundraising, marketing and partnerships.

From the dashboard, you can Ask Humphrey (macro) where to start, what tool you need, and get help navigating the resources.
Within the different resources, you can Ask Humphrey (mini) for help with planning, writing, reviewing, shaping ideas and deciding what to do next.
Humphrey isn’t here to replace your judgement. He’s here to help you think more clearly and move forward with confidence.
Humphrey is designed specifically for small Australian charities, and trained on Humph’s frameworks, resources and real-world charity experience. Rather than generating broad, generic answers from the internet, Humphrey draws on Humph's own fundraising, marketing and partnership frameworks.
Those frameworks have been built from real experience working with charities, community organisations, partners and funders, so the support is practical, relevant and grounded in the challenges small charities actually face.
Yes. Humphrey can help you draft, shape and improve appeals, sponsorship proposals, campaign plans, a case for support, grant content, social posts, donor communications and other practical materials.
As with any tool, you should always apply your own judgement before publishing or sending anything. Humphrey can help you get to a stronger draft faster, but you know your organisation, community and relationships best.
No - Humph is designed for humans, not AI experts. You do not need to know technical language, write perfect prompts or understand how AI works behind the scenes.
You just need to know what you are trying to do. Humph and Humphrey help from there.
Humph was not created by AI.
It was created by experienced practitioners who have spent decades working across fundraising, marketing, partnerships, innovation and strategy.
The foundations are human-built. AI simply makes that expertise easier to access.
No. The information you provide in Humph is not used to train public AI models.
We know charities handle sensitive information, and trust matters. Humph is designed so you can get practical support without your organisational information being used to improve public AI systems.
No. Humphrey only works with the information you choose to provide. He does not connect to your donor database, CRM, email platform or internal systems unless a feature clearly says so and you choose to use it.
You stay in control of what you share.
Humph provides guidance, education, practical recommendations and useful starting points.
It cannot guarantee a fundraising result, a successful grant, a new partner or a campaign outcome. No honest adviser can.
What Humph can do is help you make better-informed decisions, use stronger frameworks and approach your work with more clarity.
Humph came from a conversation about a problem we kept seeing in small charities.
A founder, CEO or coordinator would be doing their best to manage fundraising, marketing, communications and partnerships, often without senior specialist support around them.
Humph was created to help close that gap, giving small charities access to practical guidance, proven tools and experienced thinking when questions come up.
Humph was created by Sarah and Amanda.
Together, they bring decades of experience across fundraising, marketing, partnerships, innovation and strategy.
You can read more about the people behind Humph on the About page.
Humph's templates and frameworks are practitioner-built. They are shaped through real work with organisations, tested in practical settings and refined over many years.
Humph works with partners who want to strengthen the capacity of small charities and community organisations.
That can include Community Access Programs, innovation partnerships and knowledge partnerships. Each one is designed around practical support, useful access and shared outcomes.
If you are interested in collaborating, visit the Partner With Us page.
The Community Access Program allows an organisation, funder, business or network to fund Humph memberships for charities that would benefit from practical fundraising, marketing and partnership support.
Programs can be designed around a region, community, cause area or existing network.
Each program is co-designed, so the support fits the people and organisations it is intended to help.

The more charities we spoke to, the more we heard the same thing. Important missions, passionate people, not enough hours, and no affordable way to get the fundraising, marketing and partnership expertise that helps an organisation grow. The support exists.
